Happy Monday to you! It’s list time again. I’m really enjoying reading your comments. Please keep it up!
February is my birthday month, woohoo, so I think this week’s list is quite a fitting way to start the month.
Week 5: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Okay, let’s start with the basics:
I’ll be 43, my husband will be 58, our kids will be 21, 18 and 14.
- Would love for my husband sell his company and to be retired. That is our agreement; he takes care of me now and I take care of him later. (So please go forth and buy books! LOL)
- Hopefully my two oldest kids will be in college or thinking of it. (Another reason to buy my books- send my kids to school.)
- I’ll be trying really hard to get the legal driving age moved to 18, before my son can turn 16.
- My writing income would be more than sufficient to take care of my family.
- I’d love to have some of my traveling bucket-list checked off. I’m sure there’s a week where we will talk about that.
- My mother will be 73 and I’d like to see her still zooming around like she does now.
- By then, I would like to be living on new property, full of trees and in the middle of nowhere.
- Y&R will have many clients- publishing and PR, and will boast of some amazing authors.
The book suggests thinking of things you’re doing right now to make these goals happen. Honestly, I think most of my goals are on course. I’m working my rear-end off and the fruits of that labor will always grow.
I have this sign on my desk where I can look at it every day. This is the foundation of my decision making and as long as I remember to seek guidance in everything I do, I can’t go wrong- even if my life looks nothing like this in 10 years!
Your turn! And…GO!
