Had a fantastic weekend with a bunch of writers and got so much written on the next installment of The Divine Chronicles. Woohoo!

Week 4!

This one is rather difficult for me! I’m such a music person. We are to list the soundtrack of your life right now. I’m reaching for my phone to look up on Spotify. (I love Spotify!) Get ready, I’ll try to keep it short!

1. Album: Italian Dinner Music– because I’m writing a book based in Italy and this really helps me focus. No words, just music. Fantastico!
2. I recently discovered a new musical crush, Jameson Rodgers! There aren’t too many albums I can put on repeat and enjoy all day long- with Jameson, I can. His sound is rough country and–if I do say so myself– sexy! While writing the first Riverview novel, I found his music and nearly fell out of my chair when I heard That’s Why The River Runs. It inspired the title of the novel, coming in April. Please check him out, support his art, and feel free to swoon like I did.
3. Better Love by Hozier. It was featured on The Legend of Tarzan and holy smokes, I love this song! It moves me deep inside. It makes me think of Ryse and Avery, so naturally, I listen to it when I’m writing them.
4. Pretty much anything by Lauren Daigle. The first three songs on my Top Songs for 2016 are Come Alive (Dry Bones), Trust In You, and Here’s My Heart. It’s my great honor to sing these songs at church. They speak to my soul and lift me up.
5. Blameless by Dara Maclean. This is a song that speaks to me when I have moments of doubt, and self pity. (Yes, even me) Sometimes it’s nice to have a reminder of what our Heavenly Father thinks of us and that we should focus on living up to His expectations not the world’s.
6. One thing that stays on my playlists: both the Pitch Perfect soundtracks. They’re my guilty pleasures.
