Week 22 Favorite Places and Upcoming Events

It’s a Tues-Monday!

I hope that you took time yesterday to honor our fallen military. We are so blessed to have men and women who willingly give their lives and service to the country. My heart goes out to all who have lost soldiers. Thank you for your sacrifice.

We had a beautiful tribute at church to our soldiers and yesterday I was buried up to my eyebrows in Divine Chronicles. I spent time with my kiddos and family and wrote until my fingers were sore and my eyes were crossed. My deadline is approaching, and therefore, I’m making todays’s post fairly short so I can get back to what you actually want to read- the books! LOL.

Upcoming Events!

I have a couple things on the calendar where you can get signed books and give me a big ole hug!

June 10th- Boas and Tiaras!

I look forward to this event at the Historic Adolphus Hotel in Downtown Dallas. Find those boas and shine your tiaras for an afternoon of tea and books! Some of my fellow Y&R PR authors will be there, too! Get your tickets HERE!

August 5th- East Texas Book Bash!

For all my home town folks, please mark your calendars for this event held at Harvey Hall in Tyler, TX. We will have the place packed with authors! Get your tickets HERE! I can’t wait to see you!

Week 22- Favorite places I’ve been.

I like to go just about anywhere. Travel is one of my favorite things to do. I like the journey, I like the preparation, I like the new experiences, and learning about new places. But there are a few places that have made an impact of me.

  1. Lake Catherine State Park- Arkansas. I love Lake Catherine because it’s a family tradition. I’ve been going there since I was a child and have so many great memories here.
  2. San Antonio, Texas- Margaritas on the Riverwalk! need I say more.
  3. New Orleans- No matter what your opinion of The Big Easy, you can’t deny the rich history, the fabulous food, and the mystery of what lurks in the shadows.
  4. Pacific North West- Specifically Cannon Beach this stretch of shoreline is on my list of places to visit as much as possible! It’s beautiful. Not to mention, the first time I went was with one of my dearest friends and we had one hell of a fun road trip!

Where are some places you could recommend?
